I hail from the land of 10,000 lakes, growing up amidst the serene beauty of Minnesota. From an early age, my father introduced me to the timeless art of hunting, instilling in me a deep appreciation for nature's bounty and the thrill of the chase.
My journey into the world of hunting took a transformative turn during my undergraduate years at the University of Minnesota. It was here that I honed my skills and fostered a profound respect for the delicate balance of ecosystems. Yet, it was my pursuit of knowledge that led me to the majestic Rockies of Colorado, where I pursued a Master of Science degree at the University of Denver.
In 2018, I embarked on a life changing adventure that would forever alter the course of my hunting pursuits. Venturing into the rugged terrain of the Rockies for my first elk bow hunt, I was spellbound by the primal allure of archery hunting.
Driven by an insatiable thirst for adventure, I've set my sights on a lofty goal, completing a turkey World Slam. With each gobble echoing through the wilderness, I am reminded of the endless possibilities that await amidst the untamed corners of our planet.
But my ambitions extend far beyond the horizon. I dream of traversing continents, exploring remote landscapes, and immersing myself in the rich tapestry of cultures that call these wild places home. From the rolling plains of Africa to the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, I yearn to experience the thrill of the hunt in every corner of the globe.

My journey into the wild began amidst the lush landscapes of both South Carolina and Florida, where I was fortunate to experience the best of both worlds. From the dense forests of the Palmetto State to the sprawling wetlands of the Sunshine State, nature became my playground, and the call of the wild became my anthem.
My father, a devoted hunter and outdoorsman, played a pivotal role in shaping my connection to the natural world. From the crackle of a campfire under a starlit sky to the thrill of tracking game through the underbrush, he instilled in me a reverence for the traditions of hunting and a profound respect for the ecosystems we inhabit.
Recently, I've embarked on a new chapter in my hunting journey—one that revolves around the ancient art of archery. There's something truly primal about drawing back a bowstring and releasing an arrow with precision and intent. It's a skill that demands patience, practice, and unwavering focus—a challenge I eagerly embrace with each hunt.
One of my most memorable adventures took me south of the border to Mexico, where I had the privilege of harvesting a magnificent Gould turkey with not one, not two, but three impressive beards—a feat I'll cherish forever. And closer to home, I spent last fall immersed in the timeless pursuit of Whitetail deer in the picturesque woodlands of South Carolina, where every rustle of leaves and snap of a twig kept me on the edge of my seat.
Beyond the realm of hunting, I lead a rich and varied life. I'm blessed with a loving wife and two wonderful children who share my passion for the outdoors, and together, we find joy in exploring the wonders of nature right in our own backyard.
But my adventures extend far beyond the borders of my home state. As an avid photographer, I've traversed the globe, capturing the breathtaking beauty of landscapes both near and far. From the rugged peaks of the Rocky Mountains to the windswept shores of remote islands, I've witnessed the awe-inspiring majesty of our planet through the lens of my camera.
And when the sun sets and the stars emerge, I turn my gaze skyward, where my other passion awaits: astrophotography. For years, I've marveled at the celestial wonders that adorn the night sky, capturing fleeting moments of cosmic brilliance with my camera and telescope.
