John Hogie

Welcome to my corner of the wilderness! I'm John Hogie, and I'm thrilled to share my passion for the great outdoors with you.


Born and raised in Chisago, Minnesota, John grew up hunting the lakes and forests of the upper Midwest with his father — a tradition that never left him. He studied at the University of Minnesota before heading west to pursue a Master of Science at the University of Denver, where the Rockies turned a lifelong hunter into an archer. Now based in Texas, John spends his seasons chasing elk in the high country and checking species off his World Turkey Slam — hunting every subspecies on every continent. Each gobble in a new landscape is a reminder of why Roam & Harvest exists.

Daniel Hightower

Welcome! I'm Daniel Hightower—a storyteller, hunter, and explorer with a deep-rooted love for the great outdoors.

Born in South Carolina and shaped by both the Lowcountry and the Midlands, Daniel hunts whatever the season and terrain calls for — bow, rifle, or shotgun. If there's a tag to fill, he'll find a way to fill it. His father introduced him to the outdoors early, instilling a reverence for the hunt and the wild places it takes you. One of his most memorable tags — a Gould's turkey in Mexico with three beards. He now calls coastal South Carolina home and is always planning the next expedition.
